ESRA GÜZEL TANRIVERDI

Esra Tanrıverdi is a Turkish DoP and filmmaker born in Ankara, Turkey. She discovered a love for visual arts early on and began exploring photography at the age of 12. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Film and Television at Ankara University in 2017, where she developed a fascination with light, color, and composition. She then pursued cinematography at the renowned Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin.
 

Her work has been presented at festivals including the Istanbul Film Festival, Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis, Cairo Video Festival, Achtung Berlin, Prevyou Short Film Festival, and Shortcutz Berlin. Most recently, she shot a short film for Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB), the public broadcaster for Berlin and Brandenburg, and is currently developing her debut feature film.
 

Esra enjoys collaborating with FLINTA teams and is dedicated to encouraging greater visibility and opportunities for women in film. While her primary focus is creating captivating images, she is driven by a deeper purpose: seeking projects that are truthful, amplify diverse voices, and promote inclusivity and social engagement. She continues to bring her passion to narrative films, music videos, and experimental formats.
